Can not express how professional Dan was through the whole process of picking and ac unit and hot water tank. He took his time with me and made sure I was informed and happy with what I was choosing. Today he was here first thing was extremely friendly work hard all day and did an amazing job! I strongly recommend him to anyone who is in need of services. So extremely happy I choose Pete the Plumber and Dan to make these purchases!

Overall a good experience, employees were friendly and professional. We had a new high end furnace and air conditioner installed which went great. The prices were on par with competitors - we spent about $15k. My only disappointment or feedback is I had to email them to get a final detailed receipt, which ended up being just a very vague hand written receipt on their template format - straight out of 1980.
I would think that with the size of the company and that it is now 2022, Pete could afford a computer and proper invoicing software. With that said, would definitely recommend Pete the Plumber as well as would use them again in the future.

*** Update May 7, 2022, in response to Pete the Plumber*** Fair enough that the parts were not available for over 7 month (this is not totally true as I called the manufacturer and the by pass valve and module was available from and could have been shipped from Montreal. I considered having it installed by another plumber but held off) however the bigger problem is: - The constant phone calls (weekly) from Pete the Plumber asking for payment for the job even though the work was not complete, city inspected and contained defects which are still not addressed - The inspection report is still not in hand from the city of calgary.
The inspection was not complete, nor could have it been until the work was finished. I confirmed with the city of calgary that an inspection could not have been completed as the installation of the by-pass valve required cutting into the water system - There were code violations left by, not considered and not addressed by the installer. These are required to be completed upon any modification to the system however not identified or rectified by Pete the Plumber; the inspector (city of calgary) picked up on these immediately - The work was sub-par.
There is a birds nest of pipes indicating poor workmanship, along with a rust old looking gas line / pipe (newly installed as part of this job and a ton of over spray on the side of our house - We never received a final receipt of the work we were charged for just a visa transaction record which was ran without being approved by me. I think this is fraudulent and I have made a complaint to Visa.
Ultimately there is little recourse at this time however I would urge anyone to consider the quality, timeliness and professionalism of Pete the Plumber, as well, the stress that using them will toll. *** Original Message *** I thought it would be a good idea to get pete the plumber to install a new tankless water heater for our home in Calgary. Getting the quote and the initial install was fine however parts were forgotten by the installer therefore the the heater could not be installed properly, as well, the city inspection could not be completed.
After contacting the company many times I was told that the part was on order and that the city inspection was not important and could not be completed until the entire system installed. 6 months later the part was final installed and inspection scheduled however it was a very painful experience trying to get the work finally completed; more painful was the company calling me everyday to get final payment (even before the work was completed and the system inspected).
The fellow who did the install was good and this review should not be a reflection of his workmanship however if you are going use Pete the Plumber be sure not to pay them until all of the work is completed and ensure there is a defined scope of work with timelines. In the end, they are probably best known for this type of work in Calgary however I would look around as there are better options.

Jerry was on time, efficient and knowledgeable. He cleaned up after himself and took the time to educate me on what caused the problem. He even took the time to advise me on unrelated faucet matters. The bill was a complete surprise in a good way. To be honest I am surprised that I was not charges 3-4x the amount. Excellent work Jerry. I will be calling Pete the Plumber for all of my plumbing needs.

I've used Pete the Plumber over the past 5 years for toilet replacement, washlets and electrical repairs. They are the most competent plumbers I've worked with. They recently replaced the Poly-B pipe throughout our home. Stu and Ben were great - highly professional, diligent, and on-time, in replacing all the pipe. I was nervous to do this, but I'm happy I used Pete's for this work. They know what they're doing and they do it well.

I have to say I'm extremely disappointed with Pete the Plumber, we are doing a major bathroom renovation and they were the first company we called for a quote. They were quick to respond to the request for quote, sent someone out to the house within a week and then we never heard from them again. I contacted the fellow who did the quote both by phone and by email on a couple of occasions.no response to any contact I made.
I contacted the office and was assured that they would have this gentleman call me but still nothing. It has been over a month and we never heard back from them, I find this very irresponsible, perhaps the job was too big for them, if so should they not tell us that? I thought they were a responsible business but I sure don't think that anymore.

Had 4 estimates to replace my 25 yr old furnace. Nigel Smith did the most thorough estimate and highlighted items that others ignored. Pricing turned out to be better than others with lower grade furnaces. Nigel did the installation with another employee who was also very professional. It was -37 outside and they were on the roof installing the chimney liner for a long time.
They carefully did an excellent furnace install putting in the time and effort to do it very well. To top it all off they installed an automatic humidifier that I had purchased. It involved an external sensor and 9 wires thru the unit. It definitely took some time and it was not part of the deal; I didn't ask them to but they did it just to be super helpful!
The city inspector approved the whole install and said it was excellent work. Unlike others who constantly asked me to give them a review even though they had only done an estimate, these guys never asked. The staff I talked to over the phone in the head office were always pleasant and professional as well. I highly recommend!

Cassie went above and beyond helping us with our shower options and replacement of master sinks and faucets. Dion did both jobs for us. He was on time and very professional. We will now use Pete the Plumber for all our needs after such great service and attention to detail. Highly recommend especially after being let down by other supposed similar reputable business.

We had our aging furnace serviced last month by Brad. He was friendly, professional and assured us that everything was in good shape. Then we started to have issue with our thermostat and tried to install a new one. We needed a little guidance with the set up and called into the emergency line. This was a cold Sunday night and Andre was very patient and friendly. His guidance helped us figure out the mistake we'd made, and we had our heat back. Thank you Pete the Plumber staff. So reassuring to find friendly, local, reliable service.

Today the technician named Grant just came to replace my two water heaters. The whole process is very fast and skillful. And, for the phone services, the technical manager and the receptionist will patiently answer all your questions. Totally I am very satisfied with the service from Pete. I would say highly recommended.
