My Plumber

I just bought a new home and moved there. Literally a week ago and boom, my toilet is in the shower again! Luckily the plumber came on time. The technician was very informative and did even more than expected. Fixed the flow of the toilet which I thought was normal. The price was fair enough. Needless to say, I hope I don't need their services again, but if I do, I will choose them again.

A week ago, my father's boiler lost pressure. I called My Plumber and they had a team at the house in under 2 hours. They were incredibly professional and friendly. My Plumber offers excellent customer service and quality work at an affordable price. We hired an engineer, for a full day, to install a new central heating boiler and flue. He took special care to protect the carpets and internal fittings (the boiler is on the second floor of a two-story house). Additionally, the engineer followed all of the Covid guidelines and still had time to converse. Overall, the customer experience was excellent. We highly recommend My Plumber to anyone in London.

I booked My Plumber London for boiler repair. I couldn't start up the boiler last Friday, and I needed someone to help us ASAP due to we have a baby. The customer service agent was really helpful, and friendly and set an appointment for the same day. The technician was knowledgeable and friendly, as well. Very disappointed at their service. Our plumbing problem was not fixed properly. The subcontracted plumber (a handyman) came around and disappeared to get a part. He came back later and supposedly fixed the problem. Unfortunately he did not fixed it properly - there is some strange noise and water not coming out of our taps now. He did the job on a Friday and the problem occurred on a Saturday.

I rang Myplumber.com on Saturday morning and got through to a call centre of some sort which just told me that someone will call me back on Monday. This is very poor as we will have to put up with the problem over the weekend, I would have expected them to provide some emergency service to repair the problem urgently. Really disappointed. Beware, they are now using subcontracted handyman for plumbing service.

I suspect this is all part of saving costs at the customer's expense and inconvenience. And be aware of their no service during the weekend - you will be left stranded with the problem.

Have had quality of service issues. took off a radiator and left the pipe end without a security screw. just came back last night to find a leak coming from the radiator through the dining room ceiling. what a nightmare. Have also had to call them back to re fix a leak in one of the basins, also leaked through the ceiling into one of the rooms. Dont think they do a tidy job either, too expensive for the service. they were very very untidy with the sealers in the basin they refit, rushed job esthetically (plus did not fix it properly as mentioned above) Will not call them again, except to claim my money back for the leak!

A very professional set up.but it will cost you. I called these guys out for a replacement of the pipes under my kitchen sink. I also wanted to get an estimate for the cost of a few bits and bobs around the house as they have a handyman service. The plumber was very professional and had a keen eye for the source of a leak under my kitchen sink. He also commented that they dodgy way the developer had set up the pipe work was very cheap which was very true.

He carefully replaced the pipework putting in an extra trap on our vegetable sink. The work was completed to a high standard and looked very sturdy. He charged me for two full hours of work though technically he was only working for 1.5 hours and then looking around for another 15 min in regards to the estimate. At 70/hr that really adds up. All in all it cost me 200 which is pretty expensive to replace about 5 pieces of pipe.

The handyman service was no cheaper. I wanted some grouting redone in my bathroom and a few tiles to be repaired. The office told me they could send out "the tile guy" to give an estimate. For something that should be fairly straight forward this seemed like a cumbersome step. I explained to the woman in the office that I was just looking for something simple and if it required something involved I would rather wait. She said most jobs were charged at a daily rate of 200 or if it was a simpler job the hourly rate was 70/hr - same as the plumber.

Thankfully plumbing doesn't go wrong very often but when it does it is the most traumatic thing ever. I have been decorating my bathroom recently, stood on the toilet seat to paint the ceiling and oops - broke the connection from the toilet to the main pipe. So there I am on my own, lying in the toilet with my thumb stuck up a pipe stopping water from free flowing all over the floor of my first floor flat! Traumatic!
