Very unprofessional workman repeatedly gloating about his hangover and how he couldn't wait to get home after he'd done my job. Had to go and get money for him and while doing so he did the job without asking me about the particulars. When challenged on the issue he passed the buck to somebody who doesn't even live at my property and shouldn't be put in a position to make decisions like that.

I was 10 minutes away from the flat - he couldn't have waited for me to get back and see the job he was doing was done properly? Not only that, he made a right mess of my walls with the drill. I could have done that myself and saved myself a lot of money. Really unsatisfactory.

Had Handyman come in to put in stairgates in our home. That went well until we discovered after a few months that 2 of the stair gates were shaky at the point they were drilled into the wall and no longer safe. Then began the numerous calls to Handyman Newcastle to come and get them fixed (which we were more than happy to pay for) I wish they had just told me they had to interest in coming to fix the job.

I must have called about 30 times. Each time, they'll take my details and promise to call back. Went on for weeks and it was always some excuse or the other for not calling back. At some point, they even gave a time and date to attend, but guess what? No one showed up. After a while, they stopped picking my calls. Got another Handyman, pleasant gentleman, off Yell who came to repair the gates and turned out whoever Handyman Newcastle sent initially had done a poor job installing the gates in the first place. I'll advise anyone to do business with handyman Newcastle at your own risk

Used handy van can twice now been happy both times reliable friendly and good value for money reasonable prices both times

My daughter purchased a Tyneside flat in Jesmond Newcastle Upon Tyne during lockdown. I was finally able to make a 3 day visit from Essex 2 weeks ago. The flat needed various jobs done including repairs and painting to the outside. After trying various nos for handymen I found Bill! He couldn't have been more helpful and understanding. He came round the next day and to my delight his team were able to do all the jobs.

This included, re-rendering the front and painting the exterior plus the path and front. Laminate flooring, decorating, fixing a ceiling due to condensation, pictures, shelves and wonky drawers. His team were prompt, friendly conscientious and did a really good job in all the different areas. Bill himself over saw the work and kept in regular contact with me in Essex, sending photos and regular reports. I really can't thank them enough and would highly recommend them. Will be definately using Bill and his team again in the near future.

I can highly recommend Handy Man Bill and his colleague to do fine job in great time, with no fuss, and finished to a high standard. They even swept the road of sawdust when finished. They installed a Cedar wood fence extension for me, and it looks fantastic.very high quality wood and a pretty reasonable price too. All round great service.

TIME WASTERS! Absolute time wasters! Gave them a call on Tuesday, they came to look at the job and scheduled me on Thursday. I didn't get any call so decided to give them a call later on in day only for them to tell me a job they are on is taking longer than expected so rescheduled me for Friday 9am. I called severally and was assured they'll come before the day ends.

Wouldn't pick my calls again from 5pm. And still haven't heard from them. That's the whole week wasted when I could have looked else where. Don't let them waste your time. You keep replying the same thing to whoever gives you an honest review. As a business owner, you shouldn't only be interested in the positives. And yes I do have the right business.

I have screenshots of phone call logs and that's you company number. I have no reason to lie. You are not RELIABLE! Admit it. There're other people on here with same complaints. Smh

Stay away. Bill fawcett will take your money and will always try cash in hand. He tries to start a job he can't do then ignore you. Absolutely shocking behaviour. He will do this to vulnerable customers. BEWARE.

Have used this service since moving into a new flat and faced various unfortunate circumstances. From finding leaky plumbing broken taps. Faulty electrics and even floor joists that had been completely cut by previous owners to pipe in central heating. Used handy man for every job.having instantly built up great trust in Bill from the first moment by his personality and Professionalism.all jobs have been explained and options given and akso completed to a fantastic standard.

Good communication before job regarding time of arrival and even a courtesy call afterwards to make sure i was happy. Handyman will always be my number one choice. Professional high standard service. Look no further.

I had a list 6 small jobs from replacing my fridge water filter to reinstating a stair bannister, which they completed within 2 hrs, which included a trip to the hardware store. They gave such a friendly and efficient service, that I asked them to paint my hallway and staircase.

Again they were quick and efficient and nothing was too much trouble for them from moving furniture, to working when I was at work. I will be using their services again and again.

I feel very lucky to have found these guys. Bill and his team are absolutely fabulous. The work is completed to a very high standard with regular updates and photographs of progress. Do not use this company. I paid 1687 for a new door and window. I waited months for job to be done with Bill Fawcett using many excuses including covid. What I got was a second hand window and the cheapest door from B and Q. The workmanship is appalling. Bill agreed to put it right even though I asked for my money back he refused. He said he would do it, this was only after I sent an email to him re request for money back.

I'm now going to small claims court. Do not part with your money. We are elderly who find the whole thing making us ill. I would not give him one star but there's nothing lower. He uses many different addresses so he is had to track down.

I had received a quote and time for the job. An hour after the expected time the person who was supposed to fit my ikea wardrobe called me to say he cant make it. 2 days later and he still wont call to rearrange a time even though i have tried to make contacts numerous times

We have had a very poor experience with this company. We first contacted Bill to install a dishwasher. After a period of leakages we asked Handyman Newcastle to fix the problem. The employee who was sent did an excellent job. He found that incorrect parts had been forced on and that there was a generally poor standard of workmanship with loose valves left and a dishwasher that was unsafe as it could not be fully removed from the unit.

The most frustrating part of this experience has been trying to contact Bill to get a refund on the original work. He will not accept that the original work was poorly done stating that "I did that job and nothing I do ever goes wrong" which is laughable considering the reviews. Unfortunately he has also sacked the employee who did a decent job and is using the fact that he claims not to have received the payment from his former employee as reason not to refund us. Bill has contacted me from two different UK numbers whilst claiming to be in New Zealand.
