How to lose 296 in 30 minutes, call them. 2 toilets linked with same pipe could not be unblocked by professionals and while they were still in my premises getting paid, my staff member unblocked with the help of good old plunger. People who attended were useless and no help at all. Waste of my time and hard earned money. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Full deails for their company so they can do a better job and not leave people feeling robbed and cheated.

I am running a small B&B. Top floor 2 toilets get blocked from time to time and I explained them there is a build up in that particular pipe which needs to be cleared. As per experts, whole pipe system needs to be taken out and fixed which would be a separate job. I asked, how to unblocked currently blocked toilet and they reply, IT CANNOT BE DONE. Amazingly while they were still in my premises and I was on phone paying and feeling cheated, I heard water running down, which was from same pipe these two professional were trying to unblock.

My unsatisfaction and comments to these 2 guys explaining that now toilet is unblocled by plunger went unnoticed as they said my staff must be be plunging for an hour. Well he did it in same time, it took these guys to come down, prepare invoice and took payment. Part of my conversation telling these guys about unblocked toilet and my unsatisfaction is probably recorded on their phone system as I was paying and they will need this so I cannot chanllage the payment. Message to their company: Please make it right and refund my money as your guys did nothing at all.

On Sunday afternoon I noticed that the water from my kitchen sink was slower than usual in draining away. Going outside I could see the drain seemed blocked. I lifted the nearby manhole cover and, well the manhole was three quarters full of a rather discusting gloopy mess! Monday morning I had a quick attempt at clearing the blockage myself, but very soon realised it would need professional drainage clearance.

I phoned and emailed a few drainage/plumbers companies. I got a few replies, some could do the job, but only later that week. Thankfully PHD could do it that day. Their engineers arrived about 90 minutes later, they had a quick look at the blockage to assess the problem. They then gave me an estimate of how long the job would take aswell as a fixed price.

The price was comparable to other quotes I had been given by other drainage companies and cheaper than some. It was a fixed price for the job, no risk of any additional charges. I agreed to the fee and signed the contract. The engineers then immediately got to work. I was impressed with how quickly they cleared the blockage, using high pressure water jetting.

It took just over thirty minutes from their arrival to sort out the blockage. Once the blockage was cleared they checked two other manholes downstream to make sure the water was flowing. They also used a CCTV to check the drainage system for damage or obstructions. All was fine. The gloop in the manhole was horrible, probably best I don't add a photo in this review, so not the nicest of jobs.

The engineers just got on with it, no problems, no fuss. Hopefully I won't suffer a similar blockage again, but if I ever do, I would contact PHD first. Really good and prompt service. Top marks all round.

On Monday 14th March, I phoned NO1PHD to ask their help in unblocking my drain; the person who responded to me was polite, and informed that a Plumber would be with me that afternoon. Unfortunately the Plumber was delayed but I was informed about the delay and later that same day about 5pm Chris arrived and apologised profusely, but explained that he had been diverted to deal with an emergency. Chris the Plumber fetched his equipment and quickly ascertained that the problem was - tree roots had broken through the main pipe and would need extensive interventional repair.

He gave us a quote for the work to be done straight away, and promised to be with us on Friday of that same week 18th March Friday came and Chris worked very hard during that day, keeping us informed of his progress at all times. He was friendly and grateful for the very strong coffee he was plied with! He finished the work late that afternoon, we paid the balance of the fee on a pay machine - it could not have been easier.

I would thoroughly recommend this Company; all the Staff I have spoken with have been kind and understanding and helpful, particularly Chris the Plumber who did the work, and left our front garden as he had found it. An expensive exercise - but well done! B J Foster. 21/3/2022

Problem with leaky toilet. Plumber arrived promptly and quickly identified the issue. Replaced with new parts, with 10 year guarantee. Reasonable fee.

I wish I could say they'd done a great job but they let me down twice. Couldn't make the first appointment and re-scheduled. I waited all day, chased twice and was assured they were coming, called a third time and was told they weren't coming. All in all extremely disappointing service.

Came out very quickly but charged 3 times more than quoted. Left a quote to reline some drainage pipes under the house which was over 2500 + vat had the same job done perfectly by a small local firm for under 300.enough said!

DOLLS COTTAGE: PHD recently completed work on my drains. I felt I received very good service. Garden was left tidy and grass relaid. Complete waste of time, engineer didn't come on the day or times when arranged on 2 occasions with no communication. We had no heating for days and the engineer couldn't identify weak pilot light on our boiler was the problem and that it just needed a good clean to function. Was in the house less than 2 minutes and just looked at the boiler suggested we needed a new gas valve.

I would give 0 stars if it were possible. I informed them I was leaving this poor review also. Didn't charge us but would have been if gas valve job would have been very expensive. My regular team came and sorted the problem quickly for nominal fee. Take my advice do not use ever!

Our shower broke a few months ago. The No1PHD employee (Graham) who came over was friendly, very efficient and cleared up well. The job involved a few different skills and Graham was brilliant at all of them.

Called No1PHD as the drains in my drive were blocked and flooding. They were courteous on the phone and sent an engineer out who after looking around with a camera discovered that the pipe had collapsed. Another visit was necessary and they were very professional and accommodating explaining what they were doing throughout the process. Highly recommend them for anything relating to drainage.

Had a drain start to overflow. They came over and performed a CCTV survey to quickly find where the problem was, said that the drain needed debris clearing and relining. They gave me a quote on the spot and once we confirmed the price, the work was completed professionally and quickly by the two engineers. Could not be happier. My boiler broke recently and I called No.1 PHD to come and fix or replace it. They responded quickly, were courteous and helpful and undertook the work quickly. Overall it was a surprisingly affordable, quick and pleasant experience. Definitely using them again should anything else go wrong!

My parents had some work carried out by No 1 PHD which was very extensive. My parents are elderly, still very with it, however the chap who completed the work Dan still gave me a call due to the amount of work that needed to be completed and explained the costs, he was very thorough, went back over things i didn't quite understand and was very patient with me and my parents.

We commend Dan on his honest and superb work ethic, I've never met a engineer in any trade who was so polite, courteous and actually very funny in my time and my parents second this. These are very uncertain times at the moment and my mother is very nervous about allowing people to the house but Dan and the young chap with him were very respectful of this.
