Plummimg nothing short of Atrocious, development where I purchased several flats have experienced issues with mains leak and central heating leeks. This is the second leak I have experienced in 3 years, first was a mains leak and the result of shoddy workman, (snap fitting had not been tightened) Now I lost pressure in the boiler and after isolating the system have discovered the leak in my central heating system, there is no visible leak so this means I will need to first lift up my wooden floors, bathroom tiled floor AND THEN THE CHIPBOARD FLOOR BELOW TO EXPOSE PIPEWORK to search for the leak, a major job and when you have kids going without heating is not an option.
This could all have been avoided or have been easily fixed if Pitkerro and Pert Bruce done the pluming properly, but no they opted for the cheapest option and made a loop all radiators, so we cannot isolate to at least find the correct radiation / pipe causing the problem. A manifold under the boiler running all pipework independent could have avoided, or even 3 separate lines would have helped.
But no they do the cheap loop and 5 years later I need to lift every single floor in my home to expose all the pipework. A mere 90 it would have costed to do things properly. Again let me stress this has happened not only to me but others in the building have had all their floors up
