My brother was lucky enough to win a competition when More Ability opened a branch in Harrogate and they converted his bathroom into an adapted shower room. I cannot thank them enough. My brother had a stroke 5 years ago and was sent home with a perching stool to use for bathing. He has been unable to use the bath or shower in his own home since then due to partial paralysis and we had started looking at alternatives when I spotted the competition and entered it.
They guided us through the best options for him and he was able to choose the colour scheme for the tiles. They were flexible with the installation dates and their communication was excellent throughout. Aiden did the conversion and he worked very hard during some very hot days stripping out the old suite and installing a shower with a seat and grab rails.
He took great care in his work and the finished shower room looks lovely and is very practical. My brother is now able to shower independently and safely in his own home for the first time in 5 years and I am very grateful to More Ability for enabling that to happen. I would definitely recommend them to anyone considering a bathroom conversion.

Thank you Nigel Dawson (surveyor/designer) for your help, advice and knowledge in making our wet room suit all our family needs. A big thank you to Steve Earnshaw who did the majority of work all by himself.
Transforming our bathroom into a wet room wasn’t easy, but Steve took it in his stride to complete everything to perfection- from-widening the door frame / fitting new door /tiling throughout / fitting new ceiling and diverting the stench pipe to the outside of the house so we could gain a little more precious room to accommodate our stylish vanity units.
Steve had a saying “ I am here to please you in giving you the wet room that you want, if anything is concerning you then please talk to me, I want to walk away knowing you are happy with all aspects of my work.”
How very true this was… from no fault of anyone’s the shower had to be changed to a different type which meant 2 very large newly laid tiles had to be chipped away so that the water pipes could be moved into a different position, this didn’t faze Steve and was altered as quickly as possible.
Thank you to Mark Buck (electrician) - a polite man who connected the towel heater and extractor fan and explained how they worked. Both workman are a credit to the company and our wet room has surpassed all my expectations.
