From small beginnings, SGS Heating & Electrical began as one man and his van. Fresh faced and ready for the challenges of starting a new business, director Mike Fone set out on his own, to deliver a heating and electrical company with customer service at the heart of everything. Now, over 25 years later and the way we heat, light up and power our home has changed dramatically in that time. Despite all this change in 30 years, director Mike Fone's service philosophy remains the same, which is to provide customers with a quality service.

My daughters central heating in her new home when switched on would not return to the boiler. The servicing company came and confirmed there was a problem but could not fault find and offered a date in 6 weeks to come back! I'd used SGS for my boiler installation, so called them, they booked an emergency visit for the next working day and within three hours my daughters heating was working. A relief in November!

SGS offered great service from start to finish. They were able to attend the property within a matter of days, picked up the keys from the estate agents office without trouble, attended the property and inspected the boiler and gas fire, and reported the outcomes to me immediately. Very professional & reliable, and will be using again in the future.

SGS replaced our entire ( non-working) heating & hot water system for a new all electric boiler & cylinder, replaced the fuse board and installed a log burner for us. All in 7 days, and all with minimum disruption. The team on site were polite and courteous from day 1 and at the end of each day left the house clean, neat & tidy. I would highly recommend using them

SGS installed our new boiler and heating system a month ago. When our builder pierced a heating pipe, fitting out the new linen cupboard, we had a problem, as hot water started seeping out all over the floor. We called SGS and they came round within a couple of hours and fixed it. We were so impressed with the efficiency and quality of the repair.
Also how they cleaned up after they had finished. It took them an hour at the end of a long day, but remained cheerful throughout. So wonderful to find a heating, plumbing, electrical company one can rely on. We thoroughly recommend them.

These guys did a fantastic job of upgrading our heating and electric, they're friendly courteous and very professional. I was dreading the upheaval but they made it as painless as possible and the advice given regards choice of boiler was spot on. We're very happy customers and can't recommend them highly enough!

It has to be one of the worst and strange experiences that I've had the misfortune of encountering, just for a quotation. The engineer didn't introduce himself, so I'm not 100% sure of his name. I had been told to expect Colin but I can tell you now, that I certainly was not ready for him! His first words to me, were to say, that SGS couldn't do. any work on the house until next year, which wasn't great to hear initially but I can accept it.
Then we went over the tasks, given I'm a 37yro woman who owns her own house, he suggested that my father could take the work on and the dispute I have with the previous builder. Which I found highly insulting, given i'm a senior project manager. Also, .

Don't use this company if you need anything done on time! Currently sat in a house with 2 kids trying to study for exams and a poorly partner who struggles with the cold, with no heating or hot water. Engineer came out 10 days ago and told us we need a new part for the boiler. He made enquires with me stood next to him and he was told the part is. "on the shelf, and is available next working day".
After a week of no news I called the office ( on Monday)who had clearly not done a thing about our issue and was told they can get the part by Wednesday and fit it in the afternoon. I then get a call Wednesday afternoon telling me they might not get the part in time. They said they'd ring me and.

Don’t use this company if you need anything done on time!
