Freezing cold weather can cause boiler condensate pipes to freeze, which can prevent the boiler from functioning. This is one of the most common faults with condensing boilers at this time of year. Your boiler may have started to make some unusual noises which normally you wouldn't hear. It may be making gurgling noises or cutting out when you re-set it.
